Player Information Sheet
Schedule of Play/Format:
- 18-holes; Modified Stableford Format. Players will play 9 holes twice.
Rules of Play: The 2023 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the MASS GOLF HARD CARD. The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the Championship site. It is the player’s responsibility to know the Terms of the Competition.
Policies & Procedures: Please refer to the Mass Golf POLICIES & PROCEDURES.
Junior Spectator/Parent Policy: Please refer to the Mass Golf JUNIOR SPECTATOR/PARENT POLICY.
Caddies, & Push/Pull Carts: The use of caddies is NOT permitted during the Championship Proper. Push/pull carts are permitted, but players must bring and use their own push/pull carts.
Starting Times: Can be found on the MASSACHUSETTS YOUNG GOLFERS' AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP home page. Please make sure to be at the starting tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time to ensure that all proper instructions are received from the starter.
Tees/ Approximate Yardage: Approximate yardage for the Championship Proper will be 5,300 yards.

Practice Round Information: There will be no charge for competitors practice rounds. Practice rounds will be available at the discretion of the host club (based on availability). Please call the Golf Shop at 508-748-0199 to schedule your practice round. Competitors are required to introduce themselves as a competitor to the Golf Shop prior to their round. Parents are allowed to play a practice round with their child for the Marion Golf Club daily green fees.
Notes:
- Competitors are limited to one practice round.
- Only ONE ball may be played by competitors during their practice round.
Practice Facilities: There are no practice facilities at Marion Golf Club.
Food & Beverage Services: Mass Golf will provide a complimentary luncheon for all competitors. Breakfast services will NOT be available to competitors.
Playoff: Any tie(s) for 1st Place will be decided by a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following the completion of play.
Prizes: The Young Golfers’ Amateur Champion will receive a take-home trophy. Merchandise certificates will be awarded to the top finishers. Merchandise certificates are only redeemable at the host site.
